How To Get the Word Out in JCMO

Apr 30, 2013 by

I made this checklist for myself.   Rather than try to recite the many community calendars from memory — I decided to write it down.  This saves me a lot of time.  I can have all my event info on hand (and of take advantage of copy & paste) and just go through this list whenever I’m ready to tell the world about an event.  Not all of the items apply in every situation, but it is a useful exercise with any event.  This, of course, is excluding paid advertising.  Most of my events are low no budget events. From my desk to yours:

(1) Create a Facebook Event
(2) Create an Eventbrite Page  (I usually only use this for “ticketed” events or free events that I need an definite RSVP)
(3) Add to Public Calendars

(4) Add to Chamber E-Connection – Weekly Email Newsletter to all Chamber Members | Email: lindafunke@jcchamber.org (Chamber Members Only)

How to do you spread the word in JCMO?  What would you add to this list?
