Friday Night in JCMO – Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Jun 3, 2014 by

Have you decided what you are doing this Friday night?  I can’t believe it when people say “there is nothing to do.”  It’s just so….false.  And, don’t get my started on people who just complain they are “bored.”  My favorite quote about this topic:

“Bored people are boring.”

So beyond your typical every Friday night activities, like dining in Downtown and hitting up the Cinema (which of course are good options this Friday too), there are (at least) four special things happening this Friday.

Personally,  I’m having trouble deciding what I’m going to do on Friday, how about you?

You can go to the Arts Stroll:

Arts Stroll JCMO You can go to the FREE movie on the Capitol Lawn:

You can go party with the Firefighters and Cherry Pistols at Capitol Plaza:

And, of course, you can go to Cole County Relay for Life, one of the largest fundraisers in Missouri for the American Cancer Society.

Oh, and if you’ve got anything left Saturday, there is this too:

Which events are you planning on attending?

Friday night. My JCHS Classmates (of long ago and far away) are returning to JCMO for mini-class reunion. Saturday we get on the trolley and dodge activities downtown– and blues singers and bratwurst eaters on Dunklin Street to see what has changed in 5 years since we last met. We’ll also hear historian Mark Schreiber at the Lohman Landing State Historic site at 1:15. End the evening at the Lincoln Room of the Capitol Plaza. Vive la compaigne!!
